My house has been in a state of disarray since about May. It started with a few touch ups to the dining and living room, thanks to my new friend Lindsay. She really came through with the bookshelf styling - and put to good use all the random books I had sitting around.
I also adore the Lulu & Georgia rug she selected for the dining room. It perfectly pulls together all the random fabrics I already had going on.
I finally invested in a Michelle Armas piece, which makes me smile every time I glance in that room.
Once the little things were done, we were ready to tackle some bigger projects:
Thibaut Cheetah print in the Powder Room (now I just need the perfect gold mirror to complete the space)...
Grasscloth in the entry (nearly impossible to photograph)...
And the biggest of all - a master bathroom remodel...
Rumor has it this space will be finished this week so I am hoping to capture some "after" images to share.
Don't worry, my to do list isn't done yet! There's always something I feel needs improving.

Why, yes, it HAS been 4+ months since I last posted. I don't know what to say. Summer was crazy, The Bug started Kindergarten, The Texan is traveling like a vagabond and the next thing I know it's October. Apologies all around.
The good news is I'm back, feeling rejuvenated and have some fun posts planned.
Let's kick things off with one of my favorite events of the year - The Bug's birthday! Today is actually the big day. 6. It's hard to believe. I can't imagine my life before him, but I also can't imagine what's to come. Besides The Texan, he is the best thing in my life.
We've normally hosted parties at home. (See 3rd birthday, 4th birthday and 5th birthday recaps...) This year, I knew I couldn't manage a gaggle of 5-6 year olds in my house, not to mention our house is a construction zone right now (more on that to come.) So, I decided to host the big day at a local pizza spot.
Mustaches and chef hats all around. A "spinning" lesson from the staff, dough to play with and a good old fashioned game of "Pizza Hole" and the kids were happy, full and having fun.
Happy Birthday to H!
